....other luxuries (this thread should be renamed "A few of my favorite things" *L*...whiskers on kittens? warm woolen mittens?......uhh..maybe not *L*).....being able to go to the grocery store and buy stuff you really don't need but know you will use and stock up......and time...free....time.

hmm.. where to start... first of all.. i concur on the vanilla thing... i love vanilla candles... and my vanilla perfume... my new cable internet is a luxury... my kids are going to spend the summer all the way across the country giving me & my hubby 6 whole weeks of alone time... THIS is a luxury!! being able to pay all of the bills on time and in full and still having enough left over to buy all of the groceries and order pizza occasionally is a luxury to me.... having 2 cars is a luxury... not having to work weekends or evenings anymore is a luxury... having my back rubbed is a luxury... having my hair brushed is a luxury... going to the movies when it isn't cheap night is a luxury... buying my kids a treat just cuz i feel like it is a luxury... hearing my hubby say "i love you" every day is a luxury ... i could go on... but yer probably all wishing i'd shut up

A Sunday afternoon in mid summer, a pub in the countryside a short drive from where I live (I'd describe it but it would never give it justice) I'm sitting there with the guys I've known for most of my life and their current g/f's. We jam the jukebox with tunes from our youth and relax. The pub in question has a garden that looks out onto miles and miles of unspoilt countryside and if you hit it right it is like a fucking Constable painting. A few beers, liberal sarcasm and a cheese sandwich......
